Golf Course:
We have 88 bunkers here at The Club at Savannah Harbor, so chances are you have found yourself playing out of at least one of them. Hopefully, you have not had the misfortune of your ball landing in a foot print or a club mark. If so, you already appreciate the courtesy of raking the bunker after play. Each bunker has its own rake and at the beginning of each day the rake is placed in the bunker, tee side, with the handle out of the bunker pointing toward the tee. This is done for uniformity and convenience for the golfer. It also minimizes damage to rakes during maintenance. The tines of the rake can be used for pushing sand, whereas the flat side of the rake can be used for smoothing the surface which is the desired result. Like repairing ball marks, repairing the bunkers is a courtesy that improves all golfer’s experience on the course.
